The minimum amount of wealth one must possess before Zakat becomes obligatory

Gold Nisab

In Tola: 7.5 Tola

In Grams: 87.48 grams

If you possess gold equal to or exceeding this amount, Zakat becomes obligatory.

Silver Nisab

In Tola: 52.5 Tola

In Grams: 612.36 grams

If you possess silver equal to or exceeding this amount, Zakat becomes obligatory.

Note: Nisab is calculated based on the value of gold or silver. If you possess wealth (cash, savings, investments, etc.) equivalent to the value of 7.5 tola of gold or 52.5 tola of silver, and this wealth has been in your possession for a full lunar year, then Zakat becomes obligatory.
